Hyundai Santa Fe Pricing and Affordability
While actual pricing details are still under wraps, the bold new look of the Santa Fe is expected to be accompanied by a significant increase in the starting price. However, even with the price rise, the two-row Santa Fe is anticipated to remain more affordable than the larger three-row Hyundai Palisade. Expect generous standard features for the base SE trim and exciting available packages for the mid-grade XRT.
Santa Fe Performance and Engine Specifications
Under the hood, the non-hybrid Hyundai Santa Fe boasts a turbocharged 277-hp 2.5-liter inline-four engine with 311 pound-feet of torque. With front-wheel drive and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic as standard, and all-wheel drive as an option, the new Santa Fe promises more power at the entry-level trim. Though untested, Hyundai's commitment to a relaxed yet agile driving experience remains.
The larger three-row Santa Fe weighs roughly 4750 pounds, significantly more than the last generation. This increase is expected to have a noticeable effect on performance.
Hyundai Santa Fe Towing and Payload Capacity
Hyundai has yet to reveal the new Santa Fe's towing capacity, but it's expected to match or exceed the last-gen model's 3500 pounds. Stay tuned for updates on this front.
The Santa Fe Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The EPA has not yet estimated fuel economy ratings for the new Hyundai Santa Fe. Once tested, this space will be updated with real-world 75-mph highway driving results. For more information about the Santa Fe's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.
Interior Design, Comfort, and Cargo Space of the New Santa Fe.
Embracing a strong and boxy exterior design theme, the interior of the new Santa Fe is a marvel of geometric precision. Apart from the steering wheel and a few knobs, everything inside is defined by dramatic rectangles, creating a unique and bold aesthetic.
The Santa Fe XRT Trim
The off-road-oriented Santa Fe XRT trim takes inspiration from the ruggedness of the Land Rover Defender's cockpit. It's a space where boxes and robust design elements reign supreme, reflecting the vehicle's adventurous spirit.
Hyundai Santa Fe Storage and Convenience
The front row of the Santa Fe is designed with practicality in mind, offering numerous storage options. There's ample room for the available dual wireless smartphone charger, conveniently located in the center console. A wide-mouth passthrough under this space is perfect for a large purse, while big cubbies in the door panels add extra storage.
Santa Fe Seating and Cargo Space
With second and third-row seats that fold flat, the Santa Fe offers flexibility for passengers and cargo alike. A climate control knob ensures comfort for those in the back, allowing adjustments to the HVAC system.
Hyundai has managed to create an impressive 26 cubic feet of space behind the third row when in use. This is notably more than other three-row SUVs like the Mazda CX-90 and Toyota Grand Highlander, making the Santa Fe a leader in its class for cargo space.
